Process & Turnaround

Q. How do I submit my photos for restoration?

If you live outside of Rotorua and cannot physically bring your photo in to us, you can scan your photo/s and upload it directly through to our email admin@pikipix.co.nz. Please ensure your photo is scanned at a minimum of 600 DPI for best results. If you don't have a scanner, please contact us for mailing instructions. Unfortunately, taking a photo of a photo will not be suitable.

Q. What file types do you accept?

We accept JPG, PNG, and TIFF files with a minimum of 800kb up to 10MB. If you're unsure, bring your device in and we'll help from there.

Q. How long does the restoration process take?

Typical restoration projects are completed within 3–7 business days, depending on the level of repair needed and the number of photos. Rush services may be available upon request.

Q. Will my original photo be returned?

Absolutely! We never alter or keep your original. If you mail or hand in your original photo, we will handle it with care, once it's carefully scanned and digitally restored, it will be returned to you in the same condition once the restoration is complete. For digital submissions, you’ll receive your restored photo via email.

Q. My photo is blurry or low quality - can it be printed?

We'll access it for you. In many cases, we can enhance image sharpness or recommend the best print size for quality.
